[1] Google has come up with a tool for typing in Hindi (devanagiri script). Of all the tools I have used for this purpose, this one is by far the best one. It is comparatively very accurate and has, sort of, an AI
Not kidding, see for yourself here

[2] Sites like Orkut, Facebook and MySpace haveĀ started a new era of socializing. Counting on this, many sites hobby-specific sites are springing up. The most recent one I have seen is Shelfari - meant for book readers. Users can add books they have read to their profile, create their own shelf of books, write reviews and search for people with the same taste. Its still in ‘Beta’ phase, so we can be sure of a lot more developments and creative applications on this site.

Oh, this hindi thing used to bug me no end when I was in blogger. I would write a title in English and it would automatically translate it to Hindi. It took me a while to figure out how to disable that. So, thanks, I will pass. I prefer English!

I had seen the Google one when it came out. It was quite freaky in a way, as if there were a person who’s understanding what you’re typing and writing the Devnagri version of it…
The Shelfari thing sounds quite interesting…thanks for sharing.
